Typical device combinations for many doctorsOur devices are flexible in their options (pay only for what you need) and can be combined in different ways tailored to your needs. We, or one of our representatives would be happy to help you find the perfect configuration for you. Of course, if your needs change or expand in the future, in most cases, our systems are easily expanded. The following examples give an impression of typical equipment combinations preferred by many doctors: Diagnosis of and screening for arterial diseasesIf you are looking for an easy and reliable tool for diagnosing any kind of peripheral arterial diseases, our rheoscreen compact with the pulse wave option is the best choice. It uses the impedance plethysmographic measurement of the arterial pulse wave. Changes in the form and size of the pulse wave cleary indicate different kinds of diseases. The vascular doppler is a standard tool for diagnosing arterial diseases. It is not as sensitive to pathological changes as the impedance plethysmographic pulse wave, but allows diagnoses in selected vessels. Our computer-supported doppler--the medis-Dopplerboard--or the Hidop300 may help you save money and with a maximum of handling comfort. Diagnosis of and screening for venous diseasesPhotoplethysmography, or in this case also called light-reflection-rheography, is now a standard tool in diagnosing venous insufficiencies. The rheoscreen light and the rheoscreen light S are so easy to use that this diagnostic technique is available for every doctor, not only for phlebologists. If it is necessary to determine the insufficient vessels and their respective insufficient parts, a vascular doppler is needed. For this task a normal pocket doppler is sufficent, but if you ever used a doppler with FFT analysis like our medis-Dopplerboard or Hidop300 you will never go back. You will get spoiled by the comfort and easy display of our dopplers. The next extension of phlebological diagnosis is usually venous occlusion plethysmography (VOP). It is suitable for thrombosis screening, but now used more importantly (because many doctors feel more secure making the initial diagnosis of a suspected thrombosis with duplex or phlebography) in follow-up thrombosis treatment and in diagnosis and evaluation of the post-thrombotic syndrome. The rheoscreen compact is an easy to use VOP-device producing highly reproducible results. The impedance plethysmographic measurement principle makes it possible to obtain diagnostic information about the arteries without additional effort. An excellent diagnosis before a venous surgery is important so that risk of failure can be minimizeed and the success of the surgery can be guaranteed. While the noninvasive vascular doppler examination can be used, the phlebodynamometry (invasive measurement of the peripheral venous pressure during and after a stress test) is even better. It delivers exact information about the severity of a disease. By obstructing the vein that should be surged (using a tourniquet) the hemodynamic state after surgery can be forecasted. In former times this measurement was difficult to perform, but now the rheoscreen phlebo makes it much easier for you. Specialized vascular diagnosisSpecialized doctors prefer a combined vascular diagnostic system. Usually this system consists of a full featured rheoscreen compact (including the arterial VOP/hyperemia test and segmental blood pressure features), a rheoscreen light with venous test and arterial photoplethysmographic pulse wave (for diagnosing fuctional disturbances and blood pressure measurements in fingers or toes). Often a doppler is also beneficial in the system. The different devices in the vascular diagnostic system are all computer supported and are used with the same computer. This saves money in comparision with stand-alone devices. It is also very handy because it has the same user interface for all devices. |
