rheoscreen® light and rheoscreen® light SNEW! Now you can measure through a compression stocking. Our new patented method guarantees high efficiency and enables evaluation of the hemodynamic effects of individual, selected compression stockings. rheoscreen® light and rheoscreen® light S are photoplethysmographic (also known as light reflection rheography) devices for arterial and/or venous vascular diagnostics. This noninvasive method uses infrared light to measure parameters such as blood volume changes and pulse wave.

light or light S?Both the rheoscreen® light and the rheoscreen® light S can do the same diagnostics using the same basic technique. The machines differ in the way they are used:
rheoscreen® light (WITHOUT S) is designed to be connected to a computer running the rheoscreen software (Windows 95/98/NT/2000 or MS-DOS). The computer and software facilitate excellent data management including storage on a hard disk and in a patient database. The rheoscreen light can be combined with other devices of the rheoscreen family, for example with the rheoscreen® compact. and / or our vascular doppler, to build a complete angiologic system. The rheoscreen light has an ECG-input and can be delivered also with a build-in pressure sensor. This makes it more suitable for pulse wave measurements. rheoscreen® light S is a self-contained system with its own display, a membrane switch and appropriate internal software. It can be used stand-alone without a computer. The results are printed out on a small thermo printer. Of course, it can also be connected to a computer the same way as the rheoscreen light. Both devices can be ordered in different versions:
TechniqueThe rheoscreen® light and light S devices are based on the photoplethysmographic method. This very safe, noninvasive method uses infrared light, which is harmless to the patient, to measure parameters such as the photoplethysmographic pulse wave and changes in the venous blood volume.New: Our devices are controlled by a microprocessor. A new patented method guarantees high efficiency so even measurements through compression stockings are possible. |
